Komander – Wolf Dance

CLIENT: Komander – Camborne-based rapper

BRIEF: The client wanted a video that helped to illustrate the story he has to tell of his life. The story is highly stylised and based on his own experiences of life on both sides of the law.

EXECUTION: The video was shot at various locations around Truro in one night. The edit took far longer.

In order to match the narrative of the story, we decided to make use of a comic book motif, with the action swapping from cartoon to real life at several points throughout the track. Compositing animated running wolf footage provided another motif which runs throughout the video.

For the colour grade, we deliberately chose a darker colour palette with crushed blacks and a bluish overcast; but with extra highlighting on the red of the bandana that Komander wears, to make it another motif of the video.
